In just 1 day we have 30.000 thoughts, 115.200 heartbeats, and 25.000 breaths.
This all happens unconsciously.
But why do we often let our beating drum of thoughts take over?
Through meditation, we shift the emphases from the mind to the heart & the breath.
This helps to observe the thoughts. To realise we are not our thoughts.
Our thoughts are like breaths or heartbeats.
We need them, but they don’t define who we are.
PS. “Don't believe everything you think.”
Below you find all the tools, rituals, meditations, affirmations & daily assignments, as well as the recording of the monthly live gathering.
The tools will gradually unlock throughout the month. Each Friday.
When it is available it will turn pink & stay open for the rest of the month.
During this short meditation, we will experiment with Buddha’s meditation, the silent meditation called Vipassana.
It is a more advanced way to meditate than the guided meditation or breathing meditation.
It is advanced because we are invited to stay with our thoughts without distractions.
*If you find it challenging, please do another meditation from his program.
A Ritual is a sacred practice to reconnect with our true selves, our purpose. A way to get out of the mind and into the present moment.
Our mind is such a complex instrument. Our left & right brain hemispheres have different functions (explained in the full ritual text)
When the left side (Pingala Nadi) is overstimulated, we are lost in a spiral of thoughts and actions and we can’t relax or be creative.
The antidote is to stimulate the right side (Ida Nadi )by actively choosing to be creative and present, without judgement.
This month's ritual is therefore to create art.
This Yoga Nidra practice will help us to train the mind to follow our will.
In order to befriend the monkey mind and relax its need to control us, we need to train the subconscious mind to follow, before we train the conscious.
Even if Yoga Nidra means ‘Yogic sleep’, it's the most awakening practice.
This practice will bring you to a state of conscious awareness while you rest deeply.
It’s an effective and efficient way to access "rest&digest-mode", which is where healing really happens.
The practise of Yoga Nidra or Shakti Nidra that we use in this program is the softest way of practising Yoga Nidra.
That means that it has no guidance or symbolism, it's totally safe and it aims to bring your physical body, your conscious mind and your nervous system to deep relaxation.
Years of anxiety, stress, insomnia, depression and self-limitations can really improve or even heal with Yoga Nidra.
Chronic pain, trauma, difficulty in conceiving in women and so much more, are cases that can also be improved with Yoga Nidra.
30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours' sleep.
You can practice this Yoga Nidra before you get up in the morning, just set an alarm 30 min earlier, stay in bed and just listen.
Otherwise, you can practice during the day.
Afformations are the question form of an affirmation. When we repeat a forced affirmation like "I am enough", when we spent 20-30 years believing the opposite, it takes longer for the subconscious mind to accept it as a fact.
Research shows that it's easier for the subconscious mind to say yes to a question form of this affirmation: 'Am I enough?'. It's easier to believe our own Yes, of course, I am enough, rather than the forced affirmation.
Afformations do not create any tension or sense of forcing reality.
We invite you to write those down in your journal that resonates most with you and repeat them often during your day.
practice within the tribe.
On Sunday 18th of April from 18.00-19.30h CET we host a live gathering, to dive in deep and inspire & empower you, and more importantly to connect with the tribe & exchange learnings on this month's topic.
